Teeth Cleaning

The routine brushing of your cat's teeth and, when necessary, professional teeth cleaning will prevent dental disease, pain, bad breath, and the premature loss of teeth. Acceptance of the toothbrush is easiest if training begins as a kitten. Ask the veterinarian for instructions on brushing your pet's teeth. Most cats will need to have a professional teeth cleaning starting at 3 years of age. Some will need to start sooner.

So do your pet a favor and have him neutered or her spayed. The surgery is safe and recovery is usually very rapid.
